Here is a brief overview of the Postini service:
- Your email passes through Postini's automated filters that detect suspected junk email and most viruses.
- Suspicious email is directed to your personal, web-based, password-protected Filtering Center at Postini. Think of this as a quarantine area. In your Filtering Center, you can read the quarantined email online, delete it, or deliver (forward) it to your inbox. However, it is still necessary to have your own Anti-virus software updated on your computer for complete virus protection.
- Initially, you should visit your Filtering Center often because Postini "remembers and learns" from your interaction. As time goes on you will be able to rely on Postini's periodic notifications of your Filtering Center activity.
- Postini lets you "block" senders; meaning email from them will always be filtered. Or you can "approve" senders; meaning their email will always be delivered.
- The Postini services are private and secure. The junk email and virus protection is an automated process. Nobody has access to your email except you. Nobody will read your email. Your email is not censored, YOU control the filter settings.

- 1 month of services - $1.95
- 6 months - 7th free of services - $10.00 (a savings of $.43 per month)
*Note: Postini services must be paid on the same schedule as your internet service. eg: if you pay your internet on a monthly basis, you must also pay your Postini service monthly.
